At CosmediCheck, we uphold the highest level of professionalism, safety, and ethical practice. Our strict standards apply to all professionals and businesses within our network.
Every CosmediCheck member must follow a core set of mandatory standards (below), designed to ensure consistently safe, high-quality cosmetic treatments.
Becoming a CosmediCheck professional means agreeing to, understanding, and consistently applying these principles in every interaction and service provided.

Our Standards
CosmediCheck applicants / members – AGREE & UNDERSTAND that they MUST have all relevant insurance documentation and policies in place at all times.
This includes professional indemnity insurances, Medical Malpractice or treatment cover, public liability insurance and Employers liability insurance (if there are additional staff members).
Applicants and members understand that they MUST have the relevant qualifications and insurances in place for all treatments and services they wish to provide – This includes any additional qualifications achieved at a later date.
Members AGREE & UNDERSTAND that it their responsibility to inform and update their insurance provider of any changes to their policies – Additional treatments and services can only be updated on CosmediCheck when proof of insurance cover and certification evidence has been provided.
Any completed online training or qualifications MUST have insurance provider consent and cover for each treatments and service.
To help ensure consumer safety and minimise risks or complications related to treatments and services, all individuals and business employees must have held their primary specialism for a minimum of a 12 month period.
Please note – Any additional qualifications attained must fall within the same scope of practice as existing treatments or services provided. Otherwise, a 12-month minimum experience period applies.
Example – If a qualified aesthetics practitioner completes training in ‘B12 injectables’, this would be considered an acceptable additional qualification within their existing practice.
All applicants and members AGREE & UNDERSTAND that they Must provide evidence and proof of a legitimate business and premises to ensure compliance with best practice industry standards and consumer safety.
This includes, but is not limited to, valid business registration, proof of address, photographic imagery and any required permits or licensing.
Failure to provide or maintain legitimate business credentials may result in membership refusal, suspension or account closure.Â
Applicants and members AGREE & UNDERSTAND to obtain, provide and maintain any required permits, licensing or governing body registrations (Specific to individual sectors and specialisms).Â
Example – Local council tattoo permits and their respected requirements.
Applicants & members UNDERSTAND that it is their duty to conform to health and safety, industry and service specific rules, regulations, standards at all times.

Applicants and members AGREE & UNDERSTAND that clients and patients should be offered a thorough assessment tailored to the individual’s requirements prior to any treatment or service being completed – The client or patient should also be actively involved in any recommended treatment or service decisions, as well as with the initial consultations, including a full assessment of their needs and expectations.Â
This consultation should include health, medical, wellbeing and any other personal factors which may need to be considered in treatment or service planning.
Clients and patients are to be given clear information on all the available treatments and services recommended for their individual needs, including risks, complications and aftercare advice – At no point should a client or patient be pressured into confirming a treatment or service and should consider their options prior to making an informed decision.Â
All verified professional members and businesses AGREE & UNDERSTAND that all reviews and feedback are to Only be obtained from genuine clients and patients who have received a completed treatment or service.
Reviews must accurately reflect the client or patients experience and must not be falsified, incentivised or submitted by individuals who have not undergone a treatment or service.
Any verified professional or business found to be engaging in or facilitating false or inaccurate feedback reviews will be subject to an investigation, which may result in account suspension or permanent removal from the platform.
Members and applicants AGREE & UNDERSTAND that CosmediCheck will conduct in-depth comprehensive business checks to verify credentials and the information provided to ensure they meet the required standards for consumer safety. This process includes reviewing qualifications, insurance policies and documentation, regulatory compliance and professional conduct.
Any applicant or member failing to meet these standards may be refused membership or subject to suspension or removal from the platform.
All applicants and members AGREEÂ & UNDERSTAND that it is their responsibility to update relevant providers, companies and organisations regarding any changes to their business, including CosmediCheck if applicable.
This includes, but is not limited to, services and treatments offered or discontinued, changing of personal or business names or premises addresses, insolvency or liquidation of the company, changes of nominated individuals, officers or directors and any other related changes.

All applicants and members AGREE & UNDERSTAND that they must provide the highest standards of service and care for clients and patients at all times – Any concerns raised by a client or patient to CosmediCheck must be addressed promptly, following the CosmediCheck concerns process –Â ‘Concerns Process’.
Businesses and employees must proactively recognise and address concerns, continuously monitoring client and patient well being, and prioritise urgent issues or complications.
All applicants, professional members and businesses AGREE & UNDERSTAND that CosmediCheck’s purpose is to help potential clients and patients to find local, safe and reputable businesses by highlighting verified professionals on our platform.
While CosmediCheck conduct thorough digital vetting and verification checks to ensure all members meet our high standards of safety and professionalism, CosmediCheck are not responsible for any treatments, services or interactions between members and the client(s) or patient(s).
All applicants and members AGREE & UNDERSTAND that they must only use regulated and licensed products sourced from reputable and approved product supply companies. It is the applicant and members responsibility to ensure that all products are MHRA approved (for U.K usage) and that all products meet industry standards and manufacturing guidelines – while also being the best options for each and every individual client or patients and their desired want or need.
Products must be used strictly in accordance with manufacturer guidelines and professional standards to ensure safety, effectiveness and optimal treatment outcomes.
Failure to comply may result in membership suspension or account closure.
Applicants and members AGREE & UNDERSTAND that they must operate from a registered and insured business premeises , clinic or treatment space, holding all necessary permits and licensing.
These facilities MUST be clean, well maintained and fully compliant with mandatory safety and hygiene protocols.
Facilities must meet the needs of both customers and staff, ensuring that all equipment is properly stored, regularly checked and maintained.
Regular safety assessments and testing MUST be conducted to ensure compliance, best practices, manufacturer guidelines and industry health & safety regulations.
Professional members and businesses must be able to provide photographic imagery and video footage of clinic / treatment working spaces that are documented on their insurance policies – If required.
Applicants and members also understand that treatments and services should not be offered as a mobile service or at any other clinic or working space unless documented and covered within their insurance policies, as hygiene and safety protocols cannot be guaranteed – Failure to adhere to these requirements may result in membership suspension or account closure.
All applicants and members AGREE & UNDERSTANDÂ that clients and patients MUST fully understand their treatment or service options before giving consent.
All information MUST be provided in a clear and accessible manner – Applicants and members MUST ensure that consent is obtained before proceeding with any treatments or service, while assessing the client or patients capacity to consent as needed.
Additionally, if photographic imagery or evidence is required for any purpose other than professional treatment or service records, explicit client and patient consent MUSTÂ be obtained prior to using in any marketing or social media content. Client and patient records should also be recorded and securely filed for a 7 years period.
All applicants and professional members AGREE & UNDERSTAND that no treatment or service imagery / content is to be doctored, edited or changed under any circumstances to enhance results for advertising purposes or mislead clients or patients to book treatments or services based off speculated achievable results.

All applicants and members AGREE & UNDERSTAND that they MUST explain all of the potential risks, recommendations and specific aftercare or healing processes that may need to be followed, to assist with minimising potential side effects – Any possible side effects or treatment complications need to be reviewed and managed.
Applicants and members AGREE & UNDERSTAND to provide clear and transparent pricing, including any potential additional upfront costs or deposits, card fees or charges, payment plans fees, third party used software or payments.
Applicants and members AGREE & UNDERSTAND to protect client and patient confidentiality and information in compliance with ‘GDPR’ and ensure discretion in all communication and imagery – Unless consent has been given by the individual for this information / content to be shared.Â
Applicants and members AGREE & UNDERSTAND that they MUST have the relevant protocols, including first aid, complications training and anaphylaxis related training are in place to deal with an emergency situation, as a result of any treatment(s) or service(s) provided.
Applicants and members MUST also have Access to recommended or required emergency equipment or products (where possible / applicable).
All applicants and members AGREE & UNDERSTAND that they must adhere to best practice and industry cleanliness and hygiene standards – Maintaining cleanliness and hygiene is essential to ensure a safe and professional environment.
All surfaces and equipment Must be fit for purpose and able to be sufficiently cleaned.
Single use sterile equipment should be used wherever possible and where not possible equipment been sterilised sufficiently (between each client or patient).
Staff and clients are required to follow personal hygiene protocols to minimise a risk of contamination or infection.
In additional COSHH & risk assessments must be conducted for all hazardous substances to ensure safe handling and use (as per HSE guidelines and standards).
All reusable non-invasive equipment must be cleaned using approved products and solutions in accordance with manufacturers guidelines to maintain hygiene and prevent contamination.Â
All applicants and members AGREE & UNDERSTAND that appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) must always be used to uphold the highest level of safety and infection control.
To minimise the transfer of blood, bodily fluids and contamination, it is advised as a minimum that nitrile gloves, disposable aprons and masks are worn, while ensuring that no watches or jewellery are worn. Short sleeved uniform and having hair securely tied back further supports hygiene and reduces the risk of cross contamination – Maintaining a safe and professional environment for both clients and patients.
This included business premises, to ensure that all treatment and services are covered within the agreed and active policies.Â
Any mobile or additional clinic spaces must be documented to ensure legitimacy of insurance, licensing or permit requirements.Â
All applicants and members AGREE & UNDERSTAND that strict protocols MUST be followed for clinical waste and sharps disposal. Proper handling and disposal of clinical and hazardous waste are mandatory requirements and approved disposal companies MUST be in place to ensure waste is managed and disposed of correctly and safely.
Needles and syringes are strictly single-use and must never be reused or used for drawing up additional products – Products and P.O.M from single vials MUST NEVERÂ be administered to multiple clients or patients, to prevent cross contamination and uphold safety standards of infection control.Â
Single use equipment is designed for one-time use and must be disposed of immediately after the treatment or procedure.
Before using any sterile equipment, it is mandatory to ensure that the packaging is intact, and there are no visible signs of contamination, the expiry date is valid and sterility indicators confirm successful sterilisation – Failure to comply with this, may compromise the client or patients safety.Â
All CosmediCheck members are expected to uphold the highest standards of professionalism in their communication and conduct.
Members should not engage in defamatory, slanderous or disrespectful commentary – Whether verbal or written against other individuals, practitioners or businesses within the cosmetic or medical sector.
This includes assessing that a client / patient is physically, mentally and emotionally of sound mind to proceed with a treatment or service.Â
All practitioners and artists should actively pursue further education, to ensure their knowledge, techniques and standards of care remain up to date and in line with evolving industry practices.
Please note – Most insurance providers may stipulate submitted signed-off case studies or assessments from any additional accredited training in a face to face setting, online training cover needs to have written consent from insurance providers to be listed on CosmediCheck.
All prescription only medication can only be offered / carried out after full U.K compliance regulations have been adhered too.
Practitioners understand that they must NOT administer P.O.M medication without this process being completed.
All applicants and members AGREE & UNDERSTAND that they have read, understood and agree to implement and adhere to all of the CosmediCheck standards, policies and best practices at all times – Failure to comply with any of these, will result in a full review of the individuals or business membership, account and profile.
If a member is found to be failing to comply with our mandatory standards members can expect to have their account suspended or terminated to ensure consumer safety – CosmediCheck also reserve the right to inform other relevant organisations and companies of unprofessionalism or whereby a client or patient has been put at risk.Â

All professionals must undergo a complete third-party vetting process before being approved on CosmediCheck. This includes:

🗸 Granting any required GDPR consent for verification
🔒 Important: If your document provider cannot confirm your records, it is your responsibility to obtain verification. Incomplete vetting = no account approval.
